One day I'll be a grownup and all my stationary will match.

I love stationary , in fact the stationary aisle of home and bargains is a bit dangerous for me. It's all just so cheap and shiny!

I've got loads of notebooks, I've got an ideas book, a sketchbook, a blog notes book, a wedding book, a shopping book! Lots of books and recently I got a lil tin pencil case which I love for keeping my posh pen and felt tips in.

However my sketching pencils do not fit.

And I like my sketching pencils, I like them all in one place ready to go. So I perished the stationary aisle trying to justify the purchase when I thought , why don't I just make one?

So I did!

This is a scrap of the pansy print I used for my dress. And the zip is from an old pair of jeans which is why it's at the top, this far I have no use for zips that small.

It's a pretty bodge job but it works so I'm happy, and it only took five minutes to sew.

And everything fits hurrah!

And I've got a good amount of sketching done too. I promised myself I'd try and sketch more this year to keep my eye in so to speak, and boy am I rusty !

Sorry about the lighting on these and the flare, I was in the kitchen - 1950s lady

I think if I work hard I might get better but so far I'm just not happy with any of them

In other news! I've had to rip back my knitting once again! (I told you this pattern was my nemesis) this time I was watching magic mike and I dropped a stitch, note to self: don't knit whilst Channing Tatum's on the telly, you just cant handle it.

In other news I have two very lovely announcements to make!

1. My lovely big sister has started her own blog about renovating her and her husbands dream home, its lovely to see her in a house she really loves they both work very hard and deserve it! You can find her here :  http://ourforeverhomerenovation.blogspot.co.uk/

2. and Big Sister also finished fixing her bag strap!

I think you can see by the picture that her stitches are very neat!
and she going to be trying to accomplish the vogue 1419 pattern and I will be assisting, and maybe making a cheeky version of my own!

Now I just need to see if I can fill her home with handmade presents just like I did my Mum and Dads! Next stop WORLD DOMNATION!

Much Love

I Love Rock and Roll

I had some great news today! One of my favourite bands, which my brother in law happens to be in! Showed their new album today! It is officially for sale!

The band in question is Hybrid.9 (the link takes you to their Facebook page!) But they also have Twitter @Hybrid_9

But back to the album, its called "Hidden Inside", Its obviously awesome! but the best bit is!!!! Guess who got to do the album artwork!!!! Lil ol me! I'm so please with how it turned out! I originally did it in red and then lovely brother in law did some tweaking and came up with this awesome spacey palette but inverting to colours!

So far its been a super exciting day! My artwork got put on an album and I finished a pair of baby booties this morning! (boy we just go from one extreme to another here, don't we!)

I'd like the thank the guys from Hybrid.9 for giving me such a great opportunity! And I'm chuffed to bits with how it turned out! Now I just need to blog about my Hybrid.9 t-shirt revamp and I'm sorted! Just got to get it out of the wash first though!

Much Love!

And Rock!
