My New Winter Coat

Well bloody hell, that escalated quickly didn't it? If your anything like me then you went from theirs a virus called corona [not to be mistaken for the beer, although oddly that does seem to be the only thing in stock in the super markets at the minute] to well bogger me they've closed the schools.

So yeah, corona virus........ Well me and lil dude are at home, aside from the days he spends with his dad [and that was a googling nightmare let me tell you, but turns out children from separated homes are okay to stay at both parents homes. My boyfriend is still going to work because his company provides stuff for the railways.

But more on that later [I'm assuming that most of you have come for some sewing goodness] so heres my winter coat.

Let me put it on the record now that I don't normally sew my own winter coat, usually i just buy one. But this year I HATED every single coat in the shops. When did puffa coats become a thing again?

Anyway i had a dig through my sewing patterns and i had this vintage duffel coat pattern that i picked up on ebay a while ago.

Its simplicity 7235 now as you can see the duffel coat patterns features both a mens and women's duffel coat on the cover art however I was assured that the copy I was buying was the women's pattern.

The ebay seller lied!!!!!

However being the lazy cow i am I opted not to complain and just made a mens duffel coat in a 40ich chest. *hangs head in shame* I know it was one hell of a gamble BUT!!!!!

1. I like my coats big! I'm sorry but if I can't fit a hoody underneath it then I'm not interested.
2. I figured I could size down if necessary
3. I'm a 36inch bust [on a perky day] so I guessed it wouldn't be too huge!

As it turns out the sheer size of it is one of my favourite things. Especially when i'm walking home from work.

This is a bit depressing but I walk through a busy town to get to my car and somehow having my female form shielded by a large coat makes me feel a bit better. [For those worrying I haven't had any trouble yet and I always keep my car keys intertwined with my fingers so if I do have to punch someone in the face it will really hurt. *a little trick my sister taught me*]

Its lined with my mums old taffeta curtains.... Yeah I know thank god she buys quality curtains that I savage when shes finished with them. I love the burgundy and the slipperiness of the fabric means the coat slides on nice and easy.

The outer fabric is a fur backed wool from abakhan so that gives an extra layer of cosy as well.

As far as wool goes it was very well behaved, it presses nicely and it didn't fray too badly either.

The huge hood is one of my favourite parts of the coat. I did toy with the idea of lining it with the wool but I was worried it would be far to thick to ram under my sewing machine.

The huge patch pockets are another part of the coat I really love. Mainly because I can fit EVERYTHING in them. keys, phone, purse, hand sanitise gel.............

The toggles were an amazon purchase ready made and they were a f*****g nightmare. They are by far the messiest part of the coat despite me masking taping them in place to minimise making holes in them. I did really try and take my time with them but they were just a pain in the butt and nearly made me cry.

The coat looks pretty rough now to be honest, which isn't surprising considering its become my go to winter coat and its clocked a lot of miles already. In fact my one quibble is that the wool has started to bobble quite a lot.

My dad took these photos for me [pre lockdown] and he had great fun telling me how daft I looked doing all of the poses.

In other news:

- We can't go out? Yeah sucks doesn't it. I have no idea how this happened but its quite frankly bizarre. I'd like to say I'm coping well but to be quite honest I'm terrified. I worried Marcus is going to pick it up because hes travelling between two houses and that increases his exposure to people. And I'm feeling low because I miss seeing my mum and dad and my friends. I never appreciated how nice it is to have people round for a brew.

- Funnily enough having little dude at home all the time has been lovely, we've listened to harry potter audio books, I made us magic wands, we've been doing painting and sewing and had lots of giggles. The schoolwork is getting done but I'm not putting a huge focus on it because things are so strange at the moment and I don't want to overwhelm him.

- we did the joe wicks P.E I nearly passed out, enough said.

- Surprisingly I haven't got a lot of sewing done, mainly because I'm slowly sorting out my sewing space.

- However I have been doing more crochet so far I've added a turtle and a cat to our soft animal collection.

So yeah weird times guys.

I'm going to add a list of things at the bottom which might be useful for people who are isolating and really feeling it.

much love

Frankie

1. listen to an audio book. easier than reading and you get a 30 day free trial with audible.

2. clear out a room, tidy the living daylights out of it [we did the garage]

3. wear comfy clothes when you need to and get dressed up on the days you fancy it.

4. Bubble baths, enough said really take the opportunity to have a long relaxing soak.

5. try and set times of the day to go social media free. I find not constantly reading updates are helping.

6. watch your favourite movie series in one go. You in isolation watch every harry potter in order. and pretend your a kid again [bonus points for making a wand and saying the spells with them........ not that I do that.........]

7. do some yoga, it makes me feel very zen. or its your braver than I am do some joe wicks!

8. write letters to loved ones. When did letter writing go out of fashion? I'm on a one woman mission to bring it back!!!!

9. facetime, What a glorious invention, its saving me every single day!

10. Cook, made soup from all the leftover stuff in the fridge and pretend your Jamie Oliver.

Stay safe and wash your hands

The happy little hippy dress

Let's just pretend were back in June, England's still got a chance in the world cup , love islands on and we are still having a glorious heatwave...
Working?
Nah?
In which case let me introduce you to the dress I probably won't wear until next summer.

Yep I made this during one of those good god its hot sort of days when everything in my wardrobe felt too warm or too constricting.

The main idea of the dress was based around this panel print I got from the first fill a bag sale my local abakhans had. Originally I wanted to make a kimono dress but the pattern consisted of two large squares and some twiddy pattern bits and I just couldn't figure out the placement so I gave up and chucked the fabric in a pile.

Naturally I didn't take a picture of the actual fabric because I'm a TERRIBLE blogger.

As it goes the print worked nicely for this dress , I used the two square pieces for the front and back of my skirt. I didn't even cut them on the fold I literally just cut around the square. And then used the extra twiddly bits on the straps , facings and bodice.

The bodice itself is the Cami top from the gbsb (3rd) book. I cropped mine to hit my belly button and took some ease out of the back because of gaping. (I also used this pattern here and its one of my favourite party dresses)  and then added a simple gathered skirt.

The print isn't identical on the front and back of the bodice but I was working with fabric restrictions so it ended up being a bit of a hey ho moment.

One issue I am having is that the skirt feels really long. I am trying to get on bored with longer skirts because in reality they are so much more practical. But every time I make something I'm still tempted the reach for the scissors and make it mid thigh length .

However I can't with this one because it will ruin the printed panel on the skirt.

And there are two more issues .
1, the back is still gaping , I'm working on fixing this but I'm conscious that if I go too fitted I might no be able to pull it on over my head and one of the beauties of this dress is that theirs no fastenings (yes it makes it a really quick and satisfying sew)
2, its a about half a degree of being maternity wear. I could belt it but that sort of defeats the object of it being a really loose dress for hot days. On the plus side I can confirm that you can fit a large pizza under this dress and no one  will know. (Not a physical large pizza , you can eat one and no one will notice. I haven't tested if you can hide actual pizza down it )

Naturally I love it because it makes me feel like a happy little hippy who wants to dance around bare foot and preach love and peace. In fact as soon as I'd made it I played Fleetwood Mac and pretended to be Stevie Nick's for a bit. Not ashamed at all.

All in all I think its really successful even if I won't get to wear it much now the winter nights are drawing in.

In other news!

I've still not been sewing, boooooooo. But I'm planning to crack right on when lil man goes back to school. I know traditionally I give the house a good clean on the first day. But screw that this time I'm sewing.

I've added a few more hexagons to my EPP , its not growing very quickly but I enjoy the process.

I had a day at the dog track!!!! And guess who won 3 times? ME! And guess who won 4? LIL MAN! And guess who didn't win at all??????? Rikki! much to my amusement and his disgust.

And I think that's all!

Much love

Sixties style MIa dress

I took photographs guys! Somebody get this girl a cookie!!! I mean I'm still using my digital camera rather than my good one because its broke, and my hair is an absolute state because it needs cutting, and the camera did fall over half way through and I didn't notice so some are on a wonky angle.....BUT I took pictures which means provided I can find the time I can actually get back to regular blogging.

Because I've actually REALLY Missed it!

I actually made this a few weeks ago whilst Rikki was on his last ever night shift. On the one hand I'm glad that he doesn't work nights any more and I don't have to worry about him driving back tried but on the other hand I am really going to miss those long evening of sewing!!!

The fabric was from the fill a bag sale at abakhans and I have a sneaking suspicion that Lil man actually pulled this one out not me. Or maybe it was my mum? I dunno it was a long day [My dad keeps sarcastically asking when we can go back... cheeky swine]

Its a sort of poly something another with a teeny bit of stretch and a good drape. I promise at some point I'll start a swatch book or something so I can start properly telling you what fabrics are.

It does feel like it might be a bit sweaty? Luckily this is more of a autumn/winter dress so I should be okay.

The pattern is the mia dress pattern which I got in the big pattern swap on instagram. In fact I got quite a few patterns and sent some out but this was the only one I got sewn up and photographed before the deadline. Luckily all the other patterns are ones I know I'll definitely sew and I already have the fabrics for them.

The pattern came free with simply sewing magazine and i loved the 60's style of it and the great sleeves. I did make one change though I altered my pattern to make the sides flare out a bit more because I was worried a straight down shape would look a bit too boxy on me.

Other than that its very simple, it has neckline facings, theres no need for a zip and there two flouncy sleeve options.

To make life easier I opted to sew my sleeves in flat But in doing it I missed out one crucial step. I forgot to sew the dart!!!!

No normally your dart is a bust dart however for some reason on this pattern the dart goes into the arm hole! To this day I have no idea how I got the sleeve to fit without sewing the dart but somehow and did and surprisingly the dress looks okay on.

I think for next time I'm going to rotate the dart so it sits at the bust again. I'm just not sure I can get on board with the whole arm dart thing.....

Construction wise I just used my regular sewing machine. The fabric was quite "bouncy" so I did struggle with pressing the seams. In fact on the back seam where theres a keyhole detail I actually ended up top stitching the seams down to make it look neat.

Length wise I did take a bit off to make it look even more sixties and to make sure there'd be a gap between my dress and my thigh high boots. [Fun fact: I own two pairs of thigh high boots because they mean I can wear my dresses in winter! These boots keep me lovely and war,]

I did briefly wonder if the combination of the dress, the print and my boots made it look a bit like a costume but I like it so I'm wearing it. In fact I wore it bowling and whilst one woman gave me a right funny look a man said I looked just like his mum did whilst he was growing up and mentioned how nice it is to see someone getting dressed up!

Truthfully I do sometimes worry that people might think that I'm TOO dressed up every day but I like wearing pretty things so I'm putting it to the back of my mind.

In other news!!!

-Its Rikkis birthday and I'm wearing what can only be described as a party dress! I'm also hoping that it stops raining so we can spend the evening in the garden.

- Polly went to the vets yesterday and shes in fine health. Shes still a bit timid with the boys and she still doesn't know how to play but I'm hoping she'll just keep getting better and better.

- I'm not getting much sewing done still but I've cleared out my sewing cup board organised my fabric and I've cut out loads of projects so as soon as lil mans back at school I can hit the ground running!

And I think that's it!!!

Much Love

Simple Wool Skirt

This skirt was a bit soul destroying to make to be honest. I had originally brought the fabric with the intention of making the wrap skirt that I've put on my #makenine board. But Lo and behold I didn't have enough fabric so I had to do for a more simple skirt.

Okay so here's the deal I went to Abakhans the same day that I went to pick up my copy of sew style magazine [because I'm in it!]. Anyway I had already decided to get myself some fabric as a well done to myself but had set myself the princely sum of £5. Yeah I know right this girl really knows how to spoil herself! So I was torn between this wool mix which I;d be able to get one metre of and a cream snake skin shiny thing that was on sale that I could have had two metres of. Long story short I chose this because it looked more practical and then I didn't have enough fabric. FYI the fabric cost me £4.99 for a metre.

Anyway In stead of making a wrap skirt I used the same pattern and just made a simple pencil skirt but with the added extra of having a funky full zip in the back. I decided this would be a sort of wearable toile. And BOY am I glad I did!

1. The skirt comes in three lengths, really long, long and flash your froo froo. Luckily I had already spotted that it was looking a bit on the wee side so I added 4 inches to the length of the mini length.

2.I cut a size fourteen because that corresponded with my measurements, actually I corresponded at a 16 but I knew that Prima patterns do tend to have quite a bit of ease built in, Anyway the dammed thing was huge! [yet another flash your froo froo moment] So I took 1 inch of each of the side seams and half an inch out of the centre back.

The zip looks way off centre on this picture but I promise its just how I stood. A photographer told me everything is more flattering if you rest all of your weight on one leg but it does make zips look wonky.

That said the skirt went together really quickly the thing that took longest was all of the hand finishing I decided to do. Because of how thick the fabric is I was able to hand stitch down all of my facings and hem it by hand. The hem is practically invisible.

Okay so good points:

I like the style its a classy skirt

I love the long zip at the back because it stops it being too boring. [The zip is recycled from an old hoody by the way.

I love the hand stitching on the inside.

Bad points:

on one side the pattern matching sucks. I'm blaming this on not having quite enough fabric.

I think it makes me look a bit wide at the bottom? I think maybe I need a waistband to help emphasis my waist.

Its a really thick skirt. Which is great in winter but means I won't get a lot of wear out of it in summer. So I dunno if that's a bad thing or not. I mean its a bad thing now because summer is coming [No seriously I had to close the curtains because the sun was making a glare on my laptop screen] But I think when winter rears its ugly head again I'll be glad that I've got a thick skirt to pull out of my wardrobe.

So yeah all in all I like it, I'm still miffed that I didn't get to make my wrap skirt but some fabric arrived this morning that will be perfect for it!

In other news:

I'm pretty much recovered from the CHSI stitches show and have started to write up some of the samples I received.

I tried to make a shirt dress last night and the instructions for the bodice just SUCKED. Anyway I;ve worked out what I need to do now so hopefully that'll be coming soon.

I also had knitting woes last night. The k1 p1 wasn't creating a rib it was just making moss stitch so I had to rip it back and go off the pattern and cast on an even number of stitches instead of the 25 they suggested.

Needless to say I gave up on being creative last night and just had a long bath!

Sometimes its just easier to walk away!

Raglan Sweater

I've been seeing Raglan jumpers all over instagram lately. Mainly because of the the #lindenswap which was happening before Christmas.

Now I don't own the Linden pattern [which is by Grainline studios BTW]  [and I can't justify spending $16.00 on it] But I did still have a hankering for a raglan jumper so I thought it might be worth taking a dig through my patterns and seeing if there was anything I could frankenpattern........

As it goes I have a prima pattern for a raglan jumper and its a pretty good dupe! Now prima isn't every sewers choice yes you have to trace the patterns, yes the styling is quite frankly awful and yes the instructions are about as clear as mud mixed with oil. BUT they have really good bones, The patterns are simple lines and simple styles and they can be used as a great base for makes.

Which is how this came about.

FYI this particular pattern came with the may 2016 issue, so you might be able to track one down I don't know if that's an option on their website [I personally don't subscribe to Prima this was sent to me by lovely pen friend who I believe does!]

Now I didn't follow the instructions in fact I didn't even look at them, instead I just traced off all the pieces and then used the width of the sleeves and the bottom of the jumper to create my own pattern pieces for the cuffs and bottom band. I knew I wanted the jumper to have cuffs and a bottom band to give it more of a ready to wear vibe.

Now the leaf print fabric is from abakhan and cost me £4.03 and the purple I used is a scrap from this dress and is from sew essential . I also used the purple for the piping in the raglan sleeve detail. piping I hear you say? Oh yeah guys Frankie has only gone and learned herself a new skill! Well I say piping it's more like a piece of fabric folded over and wedged in the seam, so its basically piping but with the rope part, which I guess is essentially the pipe?

Anyway I'm sidetracking, I love the piping on this as I think it helps to break up the busy print. Plus ya know PIPING! And its a lot easier than I thought once I;d worked out the seam allowances!

Now I sewed the whole thing on my overlocker but I top stitched the seam allowances down using my twin needle on my regular machine. I'm not sure if that was completely necessary because I good iron might have persuaded the overlocked edges to stay tucked away. But I knew this was going to be one of those items that just does not get ironed ever...... So I stitched them down.

I think the top stitching came out okay anyway so that's a bonus, I did have to use my walking foot though because things were not looking good without!

These are some close ups of my pretty awesome piping! I actually prefer this to regular piping which sticks out a bit so I think I might add it to more things!

So the verdict!

When I first made it I kind of hated it, It was one of those occasions where you love the fabric in the shop but then you sew it up and your like hmmm does this suit me?

But then it recieved the seal of approval from my mum, our friend and my husband [Who even said he thought it was shop brought] So I decided to give it a whirl!

And now?

I LOVE IT! Seriously you cannot get a more comfortable jumper for on the school run, the poly knit fabric is thin enough to wear under a coat but thick enough to keep you warm and its just so easy to throw on! I'm not sure if I like it better than my coco hoodie hack but It definitely has the same effortless school morning vibe going on.

So I will definitely be making another one, and another one and another one!!! I want one of these for every day of the week and I'm tempted to try and make a few up with hoods and stuff and of course some more piping!

In other news!

I've been grumpy as hell today! Which is lovely for everyone, I'm blaming the awful night sleep I've been having , if its not nightmares its waking up every couple of hours so please if you have any remedies for a good nights sleep [aside from down a bottle of jack] please let me know!

I finally brought the fleece to finish my latest baby quilt so hopefully that will be up soon! and it will be the 5th baby quilt I've gifted. I'm really loving the gifting of baby quilts mainly because it gives me a good opportunity to try out new designs and play with fat quarters! So if some people could get knocked up that would be great!

Much Love

Stripe Coco Dress

I've never thought of myself as a sheep, but here I am posting about my striped coco dress....

Okay so pretty much every single sewing blogger in the entire world has made a striped coco dress. Mainly because if you can pick up the right fabric you can honest to god look like you've just walked off the pages of the Boden catalogue.

And I'd like to say I'm really different but I've been reading a new book about Coco Chanel and I think I've been underestimating how chic a little striped dress could be. I mean its ridiculously simple put on dress, put on shoes....done. I've pretty much worn this with all my shoes and it never fails to look cute. Its the easiest outfit ever. Which is a huge plus for someone who hates getting dressed in the morning.

So anyway! Stop waffling Frankie give us the details! Okay so the fabric is one from Abakhans from one of the precut bins marked poly knit. Now I had a massive amateur moment and didnt check the whole length so I stupidly though that the line running vertical to the stripes was just a flaw from the end of the bolt! I WAS WRONG! These little devils showed up every 40cm or so. Which meant I had to faff about with my cutting out. First I tried placing my pattern pieces so their would only be horizontal stripes but the pattern pieces were too big. So then I considered have vertical stripes with the odd horizontal one...... Yeah I know thank god I scrapped that idea. Then I was like Oh Frankie you dumbo just used the single stripe as the centre fold for your pattern pieces. I know yeah I feel like it should not have took me so long to reach that conclusion!

So in the end I have a line down the front and the back and you know what I quite like it! So my polyknit fabric did win out in the end! By the way it was £7.19 for the fabric and I have enough left for a jumper or something!

The main seams were sewn on my over locker and I just did all my hemming on my standard machine. I am a bit gutted though, I was too lazy to faff about putting in my twin needle so I just used the over lock stitch on my machine and its not quite the finish I'd have liked. I used the same stitch for my coco hoodie hack and that look good but I think it was the wrong stitch for this. Anyway Ill live with it because the idea of unpicking it all makes me want to cry but lesson learned, use twin needle!

There's not really much I can say Its a super simple pattern that sews up really quick and this is my third one [and so far my favourite]  Its lovely and snug [not quite as snug as my fleece version but snug enough] and as I've already said its so easy to throw on in the morning!

So yeah a grand success!

Much Love

Simple Sew #009 Jackie O Jacket

I love chanel. In fact I love designer. I don't buy designer but I still love it. I can even pin point the exact moment I fell in love with it.

I'd been obsessed with clothes for years but when I was about 11? I was a remember of a swim team and we used to do a lot of race meets and we used to go by coach. Which was frigging torture.... For some reason every single other girl [and boy] thought it was the most fun thing in the world to take the mick out of me and just generally be awful human beings.

And then one day after actually hearing these kids be horrible to me, my mum gave me a stack of magazines, and my sister gave me here old cassette player and a bon jovi tape. And that was it now I didn't have to listen anymore, Now I could just read and listen to good music!

And it gave me a little bit of respect because "OMG frankie has vogue, instyle, glamour, and marie claire, If I'm nice to her today [ya know like an actual human being!] she'll let me look at one on the way back?"

And that little trip down memory lane explains where my love of designer came from!!!!

Anyway!!!!!!

I'm trying to use more of my patterns, I seem to have gone from having about three to having quite the little collection and I hardly seem to use any of them. Especially the ones that come free with magazines.

Anyway I made this jacket because I had a little bit of this houndstooth fabric left from making my wool cape. The fabric is from Abakhans and I used the looser weave for my cape and decided to use the slightly more matted side for this.

Anyway It all came together pretty quickly, the pattern is easy to follow even if there are not any pattern markings. I did make things a bit more difficult by deciding to fully line the jacket and slip stitch the facings down. But boy was it worth it!!! its given a really clean finish and my stitches were nearly invisible!!!

The brooch was from my sister and her husband for my birthday one year!! Its one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, to the point where the cameo fell out on a night out and I went back the next day and crawled around the sticky floor with the bar manager searching for it!!!

I dint have enough fabric for pattern matching but it actually turned out okay. I faced the neckline as per the instructions and even put on the pockets. They are pretty useless but they look cute!

Ive got to say I LOVE this jacket! and I think its given me the confidence to actually attempt a coat at some point [and I don't mean the beasty coats me and my sister are making , something more wearable!!!]

All in all to say its made from left overs I am pretty darn pleased with it!!!!

And I've made a little video of me reviewing the pattern! Which gives a few more details!!! And you can find it here!

Much Love

Prima daisy print dress

When I finished this dress I was all like "OMG this is bad"

and then I was like "FRANKIE YOU FOOL YOU'VE WASTED FABRIC!"

and now its like "hmmm maybe its cute?"

And then I realised I'd made a dress for my baby god daughter in the same print and if somebody did a who wore it better she'd definitely win! And then I decided if shes going to upstage me then I'm not sewing for her anymore.

Yeah things went crazy fast!

It all started out with a hankering to try something new, I was going to make a lilou dress out of this cotton daisy print fabric I got from abakhans but then I was just bored withe idea. so I dug through my patterns and found a pattern by prima [which I forgot to photograph before I cut, Woops. But it was from 2014 anyway so Its not like your gonna be able to pick it up.]

The bodice is a simple darted bodice with a scoop neck and cap sleeves, and then the skirt is an a-line. In the image on the pattern the skirt looks bigger so I was a bit gutted when I tried it on and it was less big than I expected.

I shortened the skirt pieces by 3 inches and then had to hack off another 2 when I went to hem it anyway! And I scooped out the back neckline because the idea of having a high neck at the front and back made me feel claustrophobic.

The armholes and neckline is finished with bias binding and I hand hemmed it. The bodice is unlined but I finished all my seams with a second row of stitching and my pinking shears. To be honest I wish I had lined it but that might be a personal preference thing,

I cut out the pattern according to my size but OMG apparently prima patterns just require all of the ease! Its big and that what really got my goat. All i could think was I should have used one of the bodices I spent forever altering instead of rushing in and ending up with something baggy.

That was until I gorged myself on food and was like "oh wait, wheres the uncomfortable I might pop out of my clothes sensation?" I mean this might actually end up as my eating dress. Its kind of nice to be able to reach for more food without worrying I might pop out of my clothes [Prime example being when I wore my african wax print dress to the cinema, the fit is bang on...until you've eaten a tub of popcorn and a bag of smarties as well as guzzling down lovely bloaty coke. Then Its like wearing a straight jacket whilst trying to burp quietly.]

And I feel kind of adorable in it? Like the kind of girl who listens to indie music and has a cat named dog or something super hipster like that. [no word of a lie, I really want to be a hipster but I have no idea whats cool, whats not cool and whats ironically cool. So I'm screwed guess I'll just have to settle for being gawky. Plus I hate cereals and milk and I'm pretty sure eating cereals with milk in a cafe is the most hipster thing you can do]

Its shorter than usual which is a nice change and I think it will work for winter.

So the bad points:

the weird fade line in the fabric which made me want to cry [No idea how it got there, but if its wants to do one that would be awesome]

Its not lined

I wish the skirt was a fraction fuller

Necklines a bit gapey

good points:

The print is all the 90's goodness rolled into one super cotton bolt!

the length, I'm embracing my legs

Room for a second slice of cake.... nuff said.

Darts hit the right place on the old bosom.

Looks adorable with my granddad cardigans and brogues.

And that's it really, I thought it was a complete flop but its actually not too bad. I think I like it better after seeing it in these pictures,

In other news!

You may have noticed I been posting less often. I feel like a day on and a day off is a good place for me at the moment. It kind of felt like I was churning posts out just for content and to be honest it was all a bit soul destroying. I want to show you guys awesome stuff I've made that I love, or at least crappy stuff I've made but I can laugh about. Not stupid little projects that I've made for the sake of a post and then chucked in a drawer.

I'm also trying a lot more new techniques now so It is taking me longer to finish things.

I am considering posting throwback links to old blog posts as well. Mainly so I can see how far I've come but also so you guys can see some of the awesome crazy stuff I made when I started this blog! like this!

I think its just about trying to find my groove.

Much Love

Frankie
