Busy Little Bum Bum Bee

I'm sure to the outside world and to anybody who reads this I'm looking pretty darn lazy right now. I bet your all picturing me sat on my bottom eating biscuits, drinking tea and watching project runway marathons. Well your wrong! Sort of.

I have been sat down, I have been drinking tea and yes I might have dunked the odd biscuit or two three four packet. And project runway hasn't left my telly for a loooonnnnnng time! but its all for a good cause!

I've been working on two custom orders! (yes two!) As well as trying to prepare for this craft fair! To say I've been busy would be an under statement! Today is the first day I've found enough time to blow dry my hair after my shower, And not just leave it to dry in a bun! Which usually results in a curly mope of hair that resembles the love child of Diana Ross and Russell Brand.

Anyway it feels like its been ages since I've posted anything I've made recently! And I'm afraid you were nearly out of luck today as well! Until I remembered a painting that I started last week!

Growing up Star Wars was religion in our house, we even had the Gold Edition box set on vhs, yeah we were that good! The boy down the road only had the silver!
Any I knew that sooner or later I was going to end up doing a star wars related piece and this guy popped out at me when I was searching through one of my books. This is just the beginning phase i'm hoping that when i'm finished he's going to look really awesome, I'm hoping to go for a sort of illustration feel!

Other than that, and my custom orders (cannot wait to tell you about these! but mums the word for the moment!) I've added two new items to my Etsy shop!!!!

My voodoo Doll Plushie! - £7.50

 And

Blue Tit on Branch, watercolour and Ink Illustration - £8.00

Both of these items can be found on my Etsy Page (there a link on the right hand side of this page) And both come with gift wrapping as standard.

For anybody who doesn't know what the gift wrapping looks like here's one I did recently!

Finishes and Fabric

It's definitely been a good couple of days I finished my Bird Embroidery all I had to do was sew the branch in, I went for more of a free form style, because when I try and draw branches and trees they always look a little fake, so I free styled and it ended up looking more natural!

Definitely pleased with how it turned out! It's pretty girly for me, but I've been trying to change things up a little bit.

It was nice to do a mixture of different stitches and to alternate between complete blocks of colour and more liner areas.

It's already sat in a pile waiting with my other embroidery projects to be turned into a cushions.

And a package has been delivered to a customer, Via the official Knitwits Delivery person ( AKA my momma!)

It was a custom order for a friend who's daughter loves ORANGE! It's a doorstop and it's the package that I blogged about here!

I also received a very special delivery today from Mr. Postman! My Dragonfly Fabrics arrived from the competition I won on Handmade Jane's blog!

It was beautifully wrapped in tissue paper but I might of ahem, ripped it off as soon as a realised what it was before I had chance to take a picture!

But it was wrapped up in a ribbon which made me swoon even more! And as an added bonus FREE ribbon! Ooft!

I got 60cm so its the perfect amount to make myself a cute little summer skirt!

And then I also chose a white cotton embroidered flower fabric in white, which I can't find on the website now! Hope I didn't steal it all!

I got 2.5m in this because I already have a pattern in mind for it! from my sew your own wardrobe book! It will need a lining underneath though, so that will be a bit of a challenge.

But I really hope I've got enough left to make some other treats!

I'd like to thank Jane and Dragonfly fabrics again for an AWESOME giveaway!

Today has been an awesome day so far! Hope you guys have a lovely day as well!

Much Love

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String

Yesterday was a big day for my lil ole business! I used my new packaging for the first time ever!

Now in the first days of knitwits owls your orders were just placed (lovingly) into your hands, but!
We've matured! We have a blog! We have Pinterest! We have Twitter! @KnitwitsOwls! We have no idea how to put a little button onto the blog to say we've got Pinterest and Twitter! So if someone could shed some light that would be brilliant! But we are growing up!

All Knitwits items now come wrapped in tissue paper , sealed with a hand stamped label, with a handmade and hand stamped tag thanking them for their purchase! And both have cute little owls on! YAY!

But mainly there's new packaging because very soon there's going to be an etsy store!!!!!! And I wanted people to receive there goods beautifully packaged! ooooooooohhhh how exciting! But don't worry everything that's for sale on etsy will be posted on here as well!

Isn't the Owl adorable!

I feel like my little tiny (and I really do mean freakishly small) feet are taking BIG (slightly terrifying) steps in the right direction! And I'm EXCITED!

I'm also excited about what's inside this little package but I'll have to wait until sometime next week to show you because its a present and I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise!!!!!

However I am not excited about the pile of ironing I have to do today, but I have told myself that if I get it done really quickly then I can sew for the rest of little Knitwits nap!

Hope your day is as sunny as mine is today!

Much Love
